Wheat shipments show two weeks of improvement.

USDA reported 16,093 tonnes for last week’s wheat export sales activity. The trade estimate was -100,000 – 400,000. USDA’s 710 million bushel export goal, for the year that started June 1, is -20% from the five year average sale. To hit this goal, with US wheat donations, we only need sales of 674. Year to date sales are -16% from average and total 689. Officially, sales have met USDA's goal. However, there is a lot of unknown with this. We don't know the exact amount of donation for this year.

But our focus is on shipments rather than sales. Year to date shipments are -20%. Needed shipments through May need to improve to +21% from average. That goal was met for now two weeks. This week was +23%. Allendale is currently -10 million bushels vs. USDA.
