Ethanol production last week rebounded to 1.068 million barrels per day. This was +6.4% from last year. This is the first positive run after six weeks of disappointment.
USDA's corn for ethanol goal is +5.3% from last year at 5.450 billion bushels. With our lower production efficiency this year our goal with ethanol production is +4.1%. Year to date production is +3.9% from last year. This remains is a moderate concern.
Last week's gasoline usage was -3.1% from last year. Year to date use is -0.4%.
