Managed Money stopped its heavy eight weeks of selling in corn. The prior week's report, covering Tuesday February 13 to 20 activity, showed a new all-time net short position at -340,732 contracts. That move broke the prior low point from 2019, -322,215. Friday's latest report, covering Tuesday the 20th to Tuesday the 27th, showed they bought 45,474 contracts. That was the largest buy in 12 weeks.
Unlike with corn, Managed Money was still a seller in the February 20 - 27 week, -23,976 contracts. That pushed their net short position to -160,653 contracts. That is right next to their major all-time record net short position from 2019, -168,835.
