Five weeks of positive ethanol production.

Ethanol production last week was positive at 1.057 million barrels per day. This was +4.7% from last year. This marks a fifth week in a row of a strong recovery after January weather related shortfalls.

USDA's 5.375 billion bushel goal for the year would be +3.8% from last year. Year to date production is +4.5%. Our needed remaining goal is +3.3%. We have met or exceeded that in each of the past five weeks. For Friday Allendale is at USDA's goal. When factoring in a likely small efficiency gain over last year we are likely minimally over USDA's hope.

Gasoline demand this past week showed a pop at +5.3% year/year. That does not change the trend since September, only +0.3%.
