Ethanol production misses for a third week.

Ethanol production this past week was 987,000 barrels per day. This was +1.1% from last year.

Year to date production is +4.1% from one year ago. This is just under USDA's whole-year view of +4.3%. To meet USDA's hope the remainder of the year needs to improve to +4.7%. We have not met that hope for now three weeks. Separate from efficiency changes, we are moderately behind USDA's hope.

General gasoline demand this past week returned back to last year levels. Five of the prior six weeks were all below prior year.
