Corn export sales are lightly weakening.

Weekly export sales today cover Fri 2/9 – Thu 2/15 activity.

Sales of 820,419 tonnes were reported. The trade estimate was 700,000 – 1,500,000. USDA’s current 2.100 billion bushel goal for the year would be -2% from the five year average pace. Our year to date sales are -6% from average. To meet USDA’s goal remaining sales need to run +8% vs. the five year average. The prior four weeks were lightly disappointing and were even with the average. This week was -20% from average. US export prices are okay and quite near Brazil when considering their shipping advantage. Allendale had been at USDA's export view. We are now -25.
