Corn and Soybean Basis in Heavy Supply Years

Over the past five heavy supply years corn basis advanced 15 cents from this date to the end of February. Though basis does return to the end of February level in the summer it does not exceed it.

Over the past five heavy supply years soybean basis advanced 16 cents from this date to the end of December. In these years there is no further basis tightening into summer.
