Cattle weights stop the seasonal decline this week.

The weekly Actual Slaughter report today covered meat production statistics for the week ending 2/10.

Dressed steer weights were +3 lbs. from the prior week to 912. Dressed heifers were +3 from the prior week as well, 830. Compared with last year there was a good jump with steers moving from +1 to now +10 lbs. Heifers also increased compared with last year, -6 to now +2.

In the prior week weights were removing 0.2% from beef production. Now they are adding back 0.8%.

Dressed barrow/gilt weights were -1 lb. from the prior week to 214. Compared with last year it remained at the same weight.
