Today's weekly Actual Slaughter report detailed meat production statistics for the last week of July.

Dressed steer weights rose 7 lbs. in the latest week, no 846. Dressed heifers were unchanged from the prior week at 835. Compared with last year steer weights rose 4 lbs. to now +26. Heifer weights were unchanged at +23 vs. last year.

Weights are adding +2.9% to beef production separate from slaughter numbers.

Dressed barrow/gilt weights were unchanged from the prior week, now 209. Compared with last year there was no change. Weights remain +3 lbs. from last year.

Weights are adding +1.5% vs. last year to pork production separate from slaughter numbers.
