Beef export sales remain behind hopes. Pork sales on target.

Beef export sales of 12,247 tonnes were reported. This was +51% from last year. We will point out last year in this week was a low number. Year to date bookings are -13% from last year. That is still below USDA’s whole-year goal of -8%.

During the 2/16 - 2/22 week US pork export sales were reported at 32,377 tonnes. This was +5% from last year. Our year to date pace is +3% vs. last year. That is next to USDA's current view of +4%.
