Beef export sales hit the best of the year. Pork sales retreat after seven strong weeks.

Weekly beef export sales came to 28,122 tonnes last week. This was +86% vs. last year, quite a strong week. Year to date sales are -4% vs. last year. Sales are next to USDA's current goal of -3%.

Pork exports were noted at 20,862 tonnes, -27% vs. the prior year. This ends seven prior strong weeks. Year to date sales are +5% vs. last year. This is now next to USDA's whole-year goal that was lowered this week of +4%.
