Beef export sales are on target. Pork continues to miss.

Beef export sales of 21,522 tonnes were reported. This was +18% from last year. Year to date sales have improved from -13% year/year back in March to now -6% That is next to USDA’s whole-year goal of -7%.

Pork export sales of 26,255 tonnes were reported. This was -10% from last year. Pork export sales have been on a poor pace in recent weeks. Back in March year to date bookings were +6% year/year. They have now slipped to -4% year/year. That is much below USDA’s whole-year goal of +7%.
